A) LOCATION:
This community, belonging to the Parish of Canton Canar Canar, is located 10 kilometers from the town of Canar and 76 kilometers from Cuenca. Access is via a dirt road in good condition from the town of Canar. It lies at an altitude of 2800 m.s.n.m. and its climate is warm / cold com an average temperature of 10-15 degrees Celsius.
B) SERVICES:
This community, whose main resource is a primary forest, with two native guides. There is also the possibility of staying in a camping area for 25 people prepared in the area adjacent to primary forest. There are tents rental service. On the other hand, there is a food and beverage service for up to 16 people in the area outside the forest. Finally, there is an interpretation center eco-tourist to the entrance of the community where you can make visits for the purpose of environmental education for families, youth, schools, colleges, etc.
C) ACTIVITIES
Among the activities that can be done in the community we have the following: primary forest hiking, horseback riding, cycling, environmental education activities for schools, colleges and universities, camping, ecotourism and experiential (pampamesa, music and traditional dance, etc. .)
D) EQUIPMENT
It is important to be equipped with warm clothes, shoes for hiking, sunscreen, rain gear, insect repellent, hat and camera.
